Items Prohibited in International Shipping

There are strict regulations regarding the carrying of materials that may pose a danger to the aircraft or to the environment. Always read carefully the list of prohibited items for international shipping. Remember that laws may vary for different destinations, airlines or shipping companies.

List of substances prohibited in international shipping

  • Shipments containing live animals and animal parts or remains.
  • Shipments containing human remains.
  • Art and antiques, stamps, convertible notes, securities, precious metals, gemstones, and industrial diamonds.
  • Money and other valid means of payment, such as checks, credit cards, gold bars, gift cards, coins, lottery tickets, bonds, tokens.
  • Shipments that, due to their external nature or contents, may cause danger to persons or damage physical goods or other shipments.
  • What is prohibited by law (for example, an illegal or fraudulent product).
  • The import or postal transmission of which is contrary to the law of the receiving country.
  • Which contain products or materials that could cause injury to postal workers or cause damage to shipping equipment.
  • Anyone who uses mail to deliver any of the following items is committing abuse.
  • Obscene, indecent, immoral or satirical articles.
  • Articles or private messages sent to anyone with the intention of getting money under false pretenses. A false claim in any customs document is a crime.
  • Tobacco products are not subject to shipment only for shipment in a certain quantity for personal use - and our company does not ship any quantity:
    1. Firearms (all kinds of weapons and explosives).
    2. Send (alcoholic beverages).
    3. Drugs and other controlled substances.
  • Medical/Biological Materials Must not be infectious, toxic, prohibited or radioactive chemicals under the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act, Food and Drug Act or other applicable law if permitted for shipment.
  • Perishable items Fish, meat, fruits, vegetables, or other perishable items must be properly prepared and meet applicable requirements for shipment.
  • Liquids, liquefies, greasy materials and powder must be properly prepared and meet applicable requirements for shipment.
  • Live animals cannot be mailed.
  • Dead animals or their parts, including, for example, whole carcasses, deer antlers, skins, nests or eggs, may be accepted for shipment, provided all applicable requirements are met.     1. The contents must not leak or emit unpleasant odors.
    2. The shipment cover must bear a complete and accurate description of the contents.
    3. You must specify the name, address and an accurate description of what is in the shipment.
    4. The number of permits taken must be specified under the contents of the shipment.
  • It is forbidden to ship all toxic compressed gases such as chlorine and fluorine.
  • All compressed gases are non-flammable, such as carbon dioxide, neon, helium, nitrogen, and fire extinguishers.
  • Weapon toys, swords, knives, fake bombs, and other things that can be used as weapons.
  • Flammable liquids alcohol, perfumes, acetone, benzene, kerosene, motor fuel, battery fluids, petrol, lighter fuel, cleaning compounds, bleaches and disinfectants.
  • Compressed gases, liquefied or under pressure It is prohibited to ship all compressed flammable gases such as explosive lamps, butane, cigarette lighters, ethane (gas cylinders), full or empty gas cylinders, ammonia products, hydrogen, methane, propane and others.
  • Not all items containing liquids may be shipped by Air Freight Express.
  • Jewellery, personal ornaments such as necklaces, rings or bracelets, made or containing jewels and precious metals with a value of more than $5,000.

What happens to prohibited items?

If you send us an item that cannot be shipped legally or safely, we will make every effort to let you know that we have received it and that we will not be able to ship it. It is then your responsibility to:
